If you really want to have the easy access to their jobs, signing up with one of these companies is fine. The only thing I recommend is that you HAVE YOUR OWN PROFESSIONAL PHOTOS TAKEN. Do this in your own time, and don't use one of the photoshoot locations that they recommend to you.
Find your own, do your research. This way, your photos will be cheaper, and you will not be bullied into doing anything that you don't want to do.
If you have your own photos, you have nothing to lose by signing up with Vanity or Zebra. But please be aware you might not have anything to gain either.

This is a handy blog. I got approached by Vanity and couldn't find much info online. However I did find that when I requested they email me in writing what they'd told me over the phone (ie: That I wouldn't have to pay for the shoot, just copyright) funnily enough I never heard from them ever again!
I never understand why Vanity gets these comments, I know people who have joined them and have had loads of success and others that don't get not so much but no one I've spoken to has a bad word to say about them. I have been a member and have received work and never paid for a photo shoot, but that's because I've done modelling work before and got a portfolio so I used those photos. My advise is when joining any company do your research and make sure you fully understand what you're getting into before you join.
I never said you wouldn't be sucessful. If you read this blog properly what I'm saying is that it's best to get your own photos done. The fact that the agencies support their companies with unsourced material is highly suspicious.
And if you are real model potential, a modelling agency would gladly fund you as you would be an asset to their company. Vanity and Zebra are really scraping the barrel.
I would suggest that anyone signing up with Zebra Management has quite a lot to lose.
Have a really good read through the terms and conditions, particularly the bit about signing up for text messages at £1 a time. Look at how you are agreeing to them being able to use anything you send them in perpetuity. Look at how you agree that they can adapt anything you send them and use this in perpetuity. Look at how they reserve the right to send your details to other organisations. Look at how they are unable to vouch for the truth or accuracy of anything on their website. Now think carefully about whether you would like your details displayed on a website run by someone who publishes terms and conditions like these!
